Team Retreats

Our Team Retreats bring together your team for strategy alignment and a workshop focused on the specific leadership challenges that your organization is facing. We support you to:


+ Develop shared language around vision and strategy;

+ Work on collective leadership challenges;

+ See across the aisle, and understand individual roles and incentives of team members;

+ Determine action steps needed to begin the growth journey.

 

Duration: 2 to 5 days, with pre- and post-Retreat online work.

Coaching

One-on-one coaching is especially geared towards entrepreneurs and senior executives, seeking personal and professional growth in the face of uncertainty. During the growth journey we support you to:


+ Identify the key leadership challenges and gaps you want to address;

+ Observe and challenge your own default behaviors, in service of growth;

+ Enhance decision making skills;

+ Effectively mobilize people around a cause;

Duration: 10 to 12 sessions, 90-minutes each.

Imran Sarwar

Imran is a Partner at 37/19 and has over 9 years of experience working with entrepreneurs and senior executives across Pakistan to foster individual and collective leadership, agency, and a sense of community through his transformative workshops. As a trainer, Imran has facilitated and led multiple sessions across the development, education and corporate sector. Some of his most notable work has been leading a policy dialogue with the British Council, training future bureaucrats at the Secretariat Training Institute, and sessions on Student Leadership at LUMS. His work in the private sector has focused on assisting senior executives to identify systemic and recurring team challenges, and working with employees to exercise greater agency and align individual and organizational goals. Some of his clients include Arbisoft, Chughtai Labs and Maxim International.

Imran became an Acumen fellow in 2014, and was then asked to join their Leadership team in 2017, as a Program Manager and lead facilitator in Pakistan. At Acumen, Imran led three year-long cohorts of social changemakers, entrepreneurs, government officials, artists, and activists, training them in aspects of personal growth, leadership, systems thinking, and change management.  Through the program he built a community of over 100 Pakistan Fellows, from sectors as diverse as education and health to media and infrastructure. 

Prior to joining Acumen, he served as the CEO of a social enterprise he co-founded, Rabtt. Over the years Rabtt engaged more than 4,000 students, teachers, and professionals through experiential trainings and summer programs. At Rabtt, Imran led and delivered trainings at Akhuwat’s Public School Support Program and Alif Ailaan’s School Reading Program. He also co-founded Daftarkhwan, a co-working space to build an entrepreneurial community in Pakistan. Imran holds a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, and a BSc. Honors in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences.

Maira Riaz

Maira is a Partner at 37/19 and has 10 years of experience as an international consultant across multiple sectors and industries. Some of the sectors that she has worked in include education, financial inclusion, financial technology, agriculture and sustainable development goals. She has assisted businesses and institutions in identifying scaling opportunities while creating social impact. 

Maira currently serves as a consultant on an assignment for the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation where she engages multiple stakeholders to discover insights and develop strategies for creating innovative financial solutions.Prior to transitioning into independent consultancy, Maira worked with Cardno International Development on a project that focused on private sector development, where she identified value propositions for businesses and implemented strategies to generate profit through sustainable development. 

Maira is interested in human centered design and uses it to create systems, approaches and strategies to inculcate a results oriented culture and align individuals to larger organizational goals. She has worked with various international donors such as the World Bank, DFAT and DfID, and has executed projects on creating new markets and improving livelihood. She has also worked with civil servants from across Pakistan as part of her advocacy work at the Center for Economic Research Pakistan on evidence-based policy making. She has extensive field work experience across Pakistan which gives her an encompassing understanding of people across socio-economic classes, gender, geographies,and cultural contexts. Maira is also an Acumen Fellow and holds a Masters in Public Administration from Columbia University.

Syed Zaid bin Rashid

Zaid is a Consultant at 37/19. Over his 10 year career, he has worked in multiple sectors – banking, industrial chemicals, IT services, agriculture, retail, corporate sustainability, nonprofits – and across diverse roles in strategy, sales, business development, product development and project management. He has worked with a wide range of stakeholders and partners, such as downstream dealers of industrial chemicals, multinational and local corporate customers, international aid agencies and development organizations, and public sector bodies. Zaid believes in the power of empathic communication and human-centered design to create win-win strategies and products for internal and external stakeholders. He is an Acumen Fellow and holds an undergraduate degree from the Lahore University of Management Sciences.
